Garlic Shiitake Baked Brie

Small Batch Garlic Shiitake Hot Sauce brings the perfect punch of spice and savory depth, while the gooey brie and roasted mushrooms keep things classy (but not too classy).

Mushrooms and brie walk into a hot sauce party. The result is this buttery, melty, umami-packed fever dream.

Prep Time: 10 min

Cook Time: 45 min

Servings: 4-6

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • 1 pound baby shiitake mushrooms, quartered
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 8-ounce wheel of brie
  • 1/4 cup Yellowbird Garlic Shiitake Hot Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • A few sprigs of thyme, for garnish
  • Toasted bread, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Arrange mushrooms in a baking dish, pushing them to the sides to form a circular space in the center for the brie.
  3. Lightly score the top of the brie with a knife, then place it in the center of the dish.
  4. Drizzle the mushrooms and brie with olive oil.
  5. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, Yellowbird Garlic Shiitake Hot Sauce, parsley, and thyme. Pour the mixture over the brie.
  6. Bake 45-50 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the brie is melted and bubbling.
  7. Remove from oven, top with additional parsley and thyme sprigs, and serve immediately with toasted bread. For an extra burst of flavor, add another drizzle of Yellowbird Garlic Shiitake Hot Sauce before serving.
